Origami Dog Inchie

Kind of hard to see but this is an origami dog inchie.. I used seed beads for the eyes and nose and a triangle jewel for his tongue.. You should use either origami paper or you can use newspaper, copy paper, old letters, gift wrap, glossy magazine pages, butcher paper, the main thing is that the paper gets a good crease for you to complete your creation. You can use a bone folder of the edge of scissors to help you get the creases. I started out with a punched 1" square of origami paper to complete the dog, and follow the instructions from this web site. Go to Animials to find the dog. The link I have is for the birds. Just explore the stuff to the left on this link. It also has a link for you to down load your own origami designs.. Hope you enjoy this small creation. Such fun.. Hugs, Debbie House  http://www.origami-fun.com/origami-birds.html

Masking Tape background

Here you take your atc, put masking tape,, make sure it is sticky all over the atc.. tear it off in odd pieces.. Then I took my brayer and a permanant ink pad to create the gorgeous color.. Then I stamped on with Staz On the rubber stamp image. After it was dry I used a bronze leaf that my dh took apart from a bracelet and finished off with a magazine clipart.. We were to use an inchie on our atc so the head of the lion is the inchie.. I didn't want to cut it out by itself as the whole scrolled lined across the Atc gave it such a strong statement.. this is a fun technique that everyone should try.. Hugs, Debbie House

I will tell you about this later.. It is supose to be a Don't Tell swap for someone... SHHHHHHHHHH

Here I used antique lace for her crown, the part of her dress, I turned the wings upside down to create more of the look of a person.. also used that Ferrero Rocher wrapper for her collar.. Hugs, Debbie House

Grunge Atc

Wow what a new genre to explore.. Grunge.. I loved the idea of this , the card I also wanted to show that the eye would be watching over the village ,, I wasn't sure if I had captured the meaning for sure but Gwen Crowell told me it was cool.. So I have included a link for more grunge.. I did sandpaper down the front more to give it more "grunginess"...LOL,, is that a word.. Hugs, Debbie House

My first altered microscope slide

My first attempt at altering a microscope slide . My friend Miriam Cribbs sent me the tape and micro beads to do the swap.. I searched all over for the beads in the big city and no one knew what they were,, I certainly didn't.. and his San Antonio Va appt would have put us past the time the swap was due... So after creating my background you have to put the two slides together and while pressing them put this red tape all around the edges.. I thought that it would just leave a sticky residue for the beads to adhear to.. I had a lot of trouble keeping pressure on them as I have nerve damage in my hands and even something simple like applying pressure was difficult for me.. anyway I discovered that after I took off the tape that it actually leaves a clear tape all the way around.. I did not get the tape on evenly around and a small hole allowed some of the beads to get inside on my design... I got the most of them out.. fixed the hole and finished the back with a long hand piece from a clock for the hanger. I also used for the fan the outside holder for those Ferrero Rocher candies .. it makes also a gorgeous Elizabethan collar.... so will have dh help me the next time on the taping part.. Hugs and hope you enjoy.. Here is a link if you need to order mico beads or the red liner tape.  http://www.blockheadstamps.com/catalog/beads/Micro-Marbles Debbie House

Magazine Artwork Bird

I had a great time creating this bird from magazine pages. It was a challenge to create the wings so that they had some definition to them. I did this in my PaperFollies group as a swap with the inspiration of a bird that I created with magazines for Norma Soulet.. Hugs and hope you like my Crane. Debbie House

My Lady in Yellow Atc

Gorgeous Fawn by our carport

Just the sweetest fawn by our carport.. Had to take pictures. It is cloudy and overcast.. so hoping mom will come soon to move it.. So tempted to reach out and stroke it.. but can't mess with nature at this point. Dh took pictures too as it is right beside where he parks his patrol car.. I know I will worry till it is gone.. Hope she will move it a little further up on our hill with better cover.... under the trees.. It is probably under 1 week as it didn't have the "flight" mode in it... This is what I love about our new town... Nature.. Hugs, Debbie

Scraplings using antique Ribbon

Earth/Nature Mini's

The top Mini was done cutting off the end of some sort of pod.. it resembled a honey comb nest.. and the bottom I used an almond shell and pelled off the fibers to make the brush for the bear.. What a fun theme.. Hugs, Debbie

My first Button Fairy to make!

My first Button Fairy to make. I was having trouble with the scan and camera.. But you can see the better of it.. I used an earring for her picture, German Scrap for her wings. She is going to a Paperfollies member swap. Hugs, Debbie
